Evolve Contest Pt.1

While im here posting i might as well start to get what was our evolve contest photos. The evolve contest of 2011 was about heroes and legends. We started out a month late, and try to do a very radical idea. Instead we saw that time was moving fast and we needed to figure out an idea, so we decided to do Avalon where Excalibur was forged. Here are what we basically were referencing to decided how our Avalon was going to look and feel.

Now cool idea right? so we started off building the main parts of the island. The Tree cathedral that Sam thought up of, ruins, trees, debris, and other stuff to go along with it. this was a test of the tree's for the cathedral done by Sam

so here comes my ruin tower after importing it into zbrush and doing some work on it.

After modeling some more ruin peices such as a wall, and a blasted hole, i came out with these photos.
